This is what happens when I have leftover material from a project...
When I was putting my cowgirl together, I'd wanted to include a handkerchief tied around her neck. But, no matter what I did, I couldn't make it look right (the clashing reds made it look funny every time). So, instead of beating my head against a brick wall, I took what little gingham I had, and put together a little dress for a different plush.
Since Rukia is one of my (as well as my younger sister's) favorite characters of all time, one of the things I like to do, for fun, is dress her up in different costumes. Her black hair goes with any fabric/color you could imagine, so she's perfet to put into anything. And, though it might not be directly in her character, she sure looks cute on my Bleach shelf.
This one is actually one of two I made, during my country/western plushie craze... There's one more little Rukia that I've been putting a few finishing touches on, in between other projects. She'll be up next. Until then...
Most of what I know I learned from tutorials here on dA. The best place to go for anything plushie is gallery!! She has tutorials that teach how to do plushie hair, paint eyes, make patterns (which is really helpful!!) and even has a pattern of her own to use.
